ONE SWEET STEP AT A TIME

Let’s make it.

01

Build the base

Heat a conventional oven to 160°C. Line an 18 cm springform tin. Crush the biscuits, mix with melted butter and press firmly into the base. Bake for 10 minutes.

02

Mix the filling

Beat cream cheese and sugar just until smooth. Mix in sour cream, flour and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time on low speed, avoiding excess air.

03

Bake gently

Pour over the base. Bake for 45–60 minutes, until the edges are set and the centre wobbles gently as a single mass.

04

Cool gradually

Turn off the oven, leave the door slightly ajar and let the cake stand for 30 minutes. Cool at room temperature for another 30 minutes.

05

Chill

Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before removing the tin. Add the flavour finish below, then slice with a clean knife.

06

Finish with biscuit spread

Loosen the biscuit spread very gently until spoonable, let it cool, then spread over the chilled cake. Crumble the reserved biscuits over the top just before serving.

A helpful little detail

The biscuit topping is best added at serving time so it keeps its crunch.

Keeping it lovely

Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Allergens

Milk, eggs and wheat. Check biscuits and toppings for soy and nuts. Always check your own ingredient labels.
